warrants viz. certificate bearing No. 0967109 for 8 shares - registered Folio Number JSW0421740 and certificate No.421829 comprising distinctive numbers 2003614631 to 2003614638 and warrant certificate bearing certificate No.129961 with distinctive No.423405 in M/s. Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Limited i.e., 5^th respondent herein, and not considering the petitioner’s representation dated 15.09.2025, as the same is arbitrary, illegal, unconstitutional and in clear violation of the well settled principles of natural justice.”

Case of the petitioner is that he is the owner and possessor of physical share certificates and warrants viz. certificate bearing No.0967109 for 8 shares, vide registered Folio No.JSW0421740 and certificate No.421829 comprising distinctive Nos.2003614631 to 2003614638 and warrant certificate bearing certificate No.129961 with distinctive No.423405 in 5^th respondent - M/s. Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Limited. He is having de-mat account bearing No.IN303028-13859241 with 6^th respondent – ICICI Bank Limited. When he submitted the aforesaid physical share and warrant certificates to 6^th respondent Bank for converting the same into de-mat form, 6^th respondent Bank returned the same vide endorsement dated 19.07.2025 suggesting him to approach 5^th respondent Company. Then, the petitioner submitted the said certificates to 5^th respondent Company along with representation dated 25.07.2025 requesting them to convert the same into demat form and to credit the benefits to his bank account.

The grievance of the petitioner is that as 5^th respondent Company failed to act upon his representations dated 25.07.2025 and 04.09.2025, he made a representation dated 15.09.2025 to respondent Nos.3 and 4 requesting to investigate into the matter in connection with non-conversion of aforesaid physical share certificates and warrants. But, they have not taken any action thereon so far. Hence, the petitioner filed the present Writ Petition seeking to direct respondent Nos.3 and 4 to consider his representation dated 15.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, respondent Nos.3 and 4 are hereby directed to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 15.09.2025, in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
