ORDER :

This writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is filed seeking the following relief:-

“…to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents in not releasing the bill amounts admittedly due to the petitioner despite successful completion of works, as per the details mentioned in M-Book No.624B/ZP/2022-23, for the work executed by the petitioner with the costs of Rs.16,91,937/- pursuant to construction of providing internal C.C. roads with side drains in Vittamrajupalli (v) of Vinukonda mandal, Narasaraopeta under the scheme of G.G.M.P. funds for the year 20222023 approved for payment and even after completion of defect liability period and inspite of repeated requests as illegal, arbitrary, discriminatory, unjust enrichment, violative of Articles 14, 19, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents forthwith to release the bill amounts with interest accrued thereon and pass such other order or orders as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.”

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development placed on record a copy of the written instructions vide Lr. Rc. No. A5 / Court Cases / 2024, dated 10.09.2026, wherein it was stated as follows:-

“The work was admitted and no dispute in petitioner claimed amount and time required for payment for six months.”

The learned counsels for both the parties requested to dispose of the writ petition in the light of the written instructions.

Having regard to the above submissions, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to release the admitted amount of Rs.16,91,937/- (Sixteen Lakh ninety one thousand nine hundred and thirty seven only) to the petitioner, along with interest as per the entitlement, within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
