Year 2026-27 from G.O.Rt.No.191, Higher Education (EC) Department, dated 14-08-2026 and from the consequential AP ICET counselling/admission process, notwithstanding AICTE Extension of Approval dated 16-03-2026 and the affiliation particulars forwarded by Respondent, Sri Venkateswara University as illegal, arbitrary, unreasonable, without authority of law and contrary to the A.P. Education Act, 1982 and the A.P. Universities Act, 1991 and violative of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to issue a addendum to G.O.Rt.No.191 dated 1408-2026 including the Petitioner's MCA programme with intake of 120 seats for A.Y. 2026-27 and direct Respondent Nos.3 and 4 to forthwith reflect the said course and intake in the AP ICET counselling portal and permit admissions against the entire sanctioned intake of 120 seats IA NO: 1 OF 2026

The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of respondent No.2 in permitting the petitioner to participate in the web-counselling for the M.C.A. Course.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the competent authority of respondent No.5 has granted affiliation for conducting M.B.A. and M.C.A. Courses for the academic year 2026-27. It is submitted that the petitioner-College was included for webcounselling, pursuant to the affiliation granted by respondent No.5.

It is submitted that the Registrar of respondent No.5 had also addressed a communication dated 24.08.2026 to respondent No.2, duly informing the latter with regard to the affiliation granted to the petitioner-College for intake of students into the M.C.A. Course. It is submitted that the first phase of web-counselling was completed on 08.09.2026 and that the second phase of web-counselling is shortly to commence.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.2 submits that respondent No.2 would facilitate the participation of the petitioner-College in the web-counselling for intake of students into the M.C.A. Course.

Considering the submissions made and the correspondence addressed by the Registrar of respondent No.5, respondent No.2 is hereby directed to facilitate the petitioner-College to participate in the second

phase of web-counselling for admission of students into the M.C.A.

Course.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed off. There shall

be no order as to costs.
