The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the Respondent-Authorities in issuing the impugned order vide Progs.No.161/JA/2026, dated 24.08.2026, terminating the Petitioner from the post of Anganwadi Helper at Thummalakunta Anganwadi Center (No.0723208), Vinukonda, Palnadu District, as illegal and arbitrary.

The Petitioner was appointed as an Anganwadi Helper in Thummalakunta Anganwadi Center (No.0723208), Vinukonda, Palnadu District, on 14.08.2023. While so, a complaint was raised by the villagers alleging improper discharge of duties by the Petitioner. Consequent thereto, a show-cause notice was issued to the Petitioner on 29.06.2026, wherein it was alleged that the Petitioner had participated in the ‘collection of one crore signatures’ (a political campaign), was not attending the Anganwadi Center on time, and was negligent in performing her duties.

Later, the Petitioner gave her explanation to the same on 02.07.2026. Thereafter, Respondent No.4, vide proceedings dated 24.07.2026, after noting that the Petitioner had submitted her

explanation to the show-cause notice issued to her, opined that the explanation submitted by the Petitioner was not satisfactory. It was held that the Petitioner could not disprove the allegations leveled against her. On the basis of the opinion of Respondent No.4, the impugned order was passed on 24.08.2026, terminating the Petitioner from her service. Hence, the Writ Petition is filed.

The only ground urged by the learned counsel for the Petitioner is that the explanation given by the Petitioner, dated 02.07.2026, was not considered in the proceedings issued by Respondent No.4 on 24.07.2026, nor does the impugned order mention this aspect.

Sri P.L.V.S. Prasad, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Women Development and Child Welfare submitted that a detailed order would be passed by the concerned authorities taking note of the explanation given by the Petitioner.

Heard the counsels.

Considering the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:-

(i) The impugned order issued vide

Progs.No.161/JA/2026, dated 24.08.2026, is set aside and

the Respondent-Authorities shall consider the explanation

¶46

given by the Petitioner and to pass a detailed order, with reasons thereon, with respect to the allegations leveled

against the Petitioner.

¶49

No order as to costs.

¶50

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall standclosed.
