ORDER:

The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.10,00,000/(Rupees Ten Lakhs only), sanctioned to the petitioner (Application I.D.No.OV2018119838 dated 23.01.2019, under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Scheme, as illegal and arbitrary.

The petitioner had applied for financial assistance under the ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Scheme, and was sanctioned on 23.01.2019 and the same was allotted with Application I.D.No.OV2018119838. After due verification, Respondent No.4 sanctioned Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) in favour of the petitioner for pursuing Master of Computer Science at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, USA. Though, the Petitioner had completed his Course, the financial assistance as promised to the petitioner was not disbursed to her. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Respondents submits that the application of the Petitioner would be considered and amount would be sanctioned, if the Petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts.

Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:(i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of

receipt of a copy of this order.

(ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner is held to be in

order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to the Petitioner within a further period of eight (08) weeks. There shall be no order as to costs.
