The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only), sanctioned to the Petitioner (Application I.D. No.OV2018121603) under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Overseas Scholarship scheme, as illegal and arbitrary.

The Petitioner had applied for financial assistance under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Overseas Scholarship scheme for the academic year 2018-2019 and the same was allotted with Application I.D. No.OV2018121603. After due verification, Respondent-Authorities sanctioned Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) in favour of the Petitioner for pursuing M.B.B.S Course at Xinxiang Medical University, Xinxiang China in two (02) installments. Though, the Petitioner had completed his M.B.B.S Course, the financial assistance as promised to the Petitioner was not disbursed to him. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Social Welfare submits that the application of the Petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the Petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts.
