Instant Criminal Petition, under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed on behalf of petitioners herein (A1 to A36), seeking to quash the proceedings in FIR in Crime No.148 of 2025 of Nellimarla Police Station, Vizianagaram District, for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 351(2) read with 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s), 3(2)(va) of The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondent-State on written instructions submits that the police referred the FIR in Crime No.148 of 2025 of Nellimarla Police Station, Vizianagaram District as “Lack of evidence” vide C.No.3995/C2/2025, dated 17.11.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioners also acceded to the submission made by learned Assistant Public Prosecutor.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is closed. However, it is made clear that all the remedies are left open to the respective parties to proceed, in accordance with the law.
