Heard Sri B. Chandra Shekhar, learned counsel for the petitioner and

Sri Srinivas Pathuri, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Endowments for the respondents.

The writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to

consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, filed for taking

appropriate action against those who were interfering with the possession of the temple lands.

It is stated that by virtue of the proceedings of the 2^nd respondent u/s.43 of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, the land in an extent of Ac.4.18 cents in Sy.No.460 was mutated in favour of Sri Eswaraswamy Devasthanam, Reddyvaripalle. However, in the Endowment list, it is mentioned as endowed in favour of Subrahmanya Swamy temple @ Eswaraswamy Temple, Gattu Village, taking advantage of the same, the villagers of the Reddyvaripalle are interfering with the possession of the petitioner’s possession and are threatening the petitioners on the pretext that the subject lands belong to Sri Eswaraswamy Devasthanam, Reddyvaripalle. It is contended that vide the proceedings issued u/s.43 of the Act, the services of the petitioner as Archaka were recognized, and the subject lands are under his possession as service inaamdar for rendering Archakatvam. Bringing to the respondents' notice the threats posed by the villagers, the petitioner has made a representation to the authorities. The same is not considered. Hence the petitioner approached this court by way of the instant writ petition.

Having regard to the contentions advanced, this court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.02.2025.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2 to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.02.2025 within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of the order. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, all pending miscellaneous applications shall stand closed.
