This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitsthat the 2^nd respondent entrusted the contingent works to the petitioners. The works in details are, (i) arrangement of basic amenities like steel tables, PVC Chairs, air coolers, side wall curtains, drums, butter milk packets and snacks on 12.05.2024 evening and in the morning of 13.05.2024, for 67 polling stations for the municipal general elections 2024 in Division Nos.50, 51, 53-56 under AE-6 section; (ii) arrangement of basic amenities like barricading, stand fans, LED flood lights, plastic buckets and mugs to polling booths (67 Nos.) for Municipal General elections 2024 in Division Nos.50, 51, 53-56 under AE-6 section; (iii) providing rooms partition with MS frame at Lurdhu school and clopping centre supply and fixing

of white flexi for partitions to polling stations and supply, delivery and fixing of doors to toilets at Ratnapuri colony Municipal schools for municipal general elections-2024 in Division Nos.50, 51, 53-56 under AE-6 section; (iv) repairing of electrification, doors, AC sheet roof and supply, delivery and fixing of ceiling fans, LED bulbs, tube lights, wiring, % amps sockets and doors for polling stations at Nehrunagar 7^th line MPL corporation school, MPL corporation DM Primary school (No.98) Bongaralabeedu, MPL corporation Hindu Boys Prima School 2^nd line Butchaiahthota, RCM aided primary school 2^nd line Bongaralabeedu, Lurdu High school Vasantharayapuram, Diocesan Youth Animation centre A.P. regional centre, Vasantharayapuram and 147 secretariat office for Municipal General election-2024 under AE-6 section; (v) arrangement of basic amenities like Pendals to polling booths (67 Nos.) for municipal general elections-2024 in Div.Nos.50, 51, 5356 under AE-6 section.

The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the works to the satisfaction of the competent authorities of the 2^nd respondent. It is further submitted that the 2^nd respondent noted the details of the work done in the log books and thereafter the petitioner has submitted respective final bills aggregating to a sum of Rs.17,46,659/- and the same was

approved by the authorities of the 2^nd respondent, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner.

The learned standing counsel for the 2^nd respondent, on oral instructions, submits that the works undertaken by the petitioner was completed to the satisfaction of the 2^nd respondent and the payment would be made in due course.

Considering the submissions that the work completed by the petitioner is not in dispute, there shall be a direction to respondents 2 and 4 to verify and release the payment due payable to the petitioner within a period of six weeks.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
