Heard Sri M.V.S Nikhil Kashyap, learned counsel for the petitioners. Sri G. Naga Bhushanam, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Endowments and Sri T. Venu Gopal, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent No.4.

The petitioners herein claims to be cultivating tenants in respect of the subject lands.

It is contended that the petitioners have made a representation to the authorities’ seeking extension of lease for a period of two (02) years. While the said representation is pending, the impugned proceedings have been issued for conducting public auction of lease hold rights in respect of

the subject property. Thus prays for a direction to dispose of the representation of the petitioners.

Having regard to the submissions made, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing^the respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioners within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Pending disposal of the said representation, if any auction is conducted pursuant to the impugned notice, the same shall not be finalized till disposal of the representation of the petitioners.
