Further, learned Magistrate has not calledforC.D.from Airport authorities to verify the truth or otherwiseinthecontentsof the complaint. 31) It is evident from the record that a letter dated 29.11.2017 from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting was received by the channel in which petitioner-accused was working, through the News Broadcasting Standards Authority, enclosing a complaint dated 26.07.2017 raised by the complainant with the Speaker, Lok Sabha, alleging defamatory and derogatory remarks made against him in TV channels. As a member of the News Broadcasters Association, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has forwarded the above complaint to the National Broadcasting Standards Authority for redressal. As per the guidelines and redressal mechanism of National Broadcasting Standards Authority, the Channel responded vide reply dated 15.T2.2017.
