This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the inaction of the respondents 1 and 2 in not releasing the sanctioned amount of Rs.10 lakhs for the oversees Education of the petitioner under VIDESHI VIDYADHARANA Scheme, which is illegal and arbitrary.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

During hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that son of the petitioner by name Kommineni Hemanth Kumar was selected under the scheme of “VIDESHI VIDYADHARANA” for studying his degree of Master of Information Technology at Central Queensland University at Australia. He further submitted after completion of all formalities, the petitioner’s son went to Australia and completed his Master Degree in MASTER OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY at Central Queensland University at Australia. The petitioner requested the respondent Nos.1 and 2 for

release of the funds sanctioned Rs.10 lakhs under the said scheme. But, till today the said amount was not deposited in the account of the petitioner. Aggrieved by the same, the present Writ Petition is filed.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the proposals are already submitted to the Government, which are under process for release of grant, hence, requested further time.

Considering the submissions of both the counsel and on perusal of the material on record, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to release the sanctioned amount of Rs.10 lakhs for the financial assistance of the son of the petitioner under the scheme of “VIDESHI VIDYADHARANA” within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
