ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
“….to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not releasing the payments for the work executed by the petitioner under the scheme of MGNREGS, Guntur and the petitioner was entrusted the contract work construction of Pucca Internal roads / streets including side drains and culverts within a village under convergence funds at location BC colony to Church in Upparapalem H/o Vankayalapdu village of Edlapadu Mandal, Guntur district with an estimated cost of Rs.4,51,409/- through the District Collector & DPC MGNREGS with an estimated cost of Rs.4,51,409/- and with 18 % interest is illegal, arbitrary and contrary to law and violation of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondent authorities to release an amount of Rs.4,51,409/- with 18% per annum to the petitioner in respect of the execution of aforementioned works there by direction to the respondent authorities and to pass such other order or orders….”
