ORDER:-
This Writ Petition for mandamus is filed to declare the action of the 3rd respondent – Station House Officer of Allavaram Police Station of East Godavari District in not registering the report lodged by the petitioner on 20.01.2022 as a crime, as illegal and consequently sought direction to the 3rd respondent to register F.I.R on the basis of the said report.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that the report lodged by the petitioner was registered as a case in Crime No.198 of 2021 in Allavaram Police Station of East Godavari District for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 324 and 290 r/w 143 IPC and that the case is now under investigation.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home has also placed on record the written instructions received by him from the 3rd respondent – Station House Officer of Allavaram Police Station to that effect along with the copy of the F.I.R registered on the basis of the report lodged by the petitioner.
Therefore, the grievance of the writ petitioner adequately stood redressed.
Recording the above submissions, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
