This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the

Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:

“…..to issue a Writ, Order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Motor Vehicles Inspector on account of the charges framed vide G.O.Rt.No.504 Revenue (VIGILANCE-II) Department, dated 28.04.2016 as illegal, arbitrary, unjust, violative of G.O.Ms.No 257 G.A (Ser.C) Department dated 10.06.1999 and consequentially direct the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Motor Vehicles Inspector without reference to the charges framed vide G.O.Rt.No. 504 Revenue (VIGILANCE-II) Department, dated 28.04.2016 issued by the 2^nd respondent in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257 G.A (Ser.C) Department dated 10.06.1999 by extending the benefit of A.P.High Court Judgments in W.P.No.25339 of 2022 dated 12.08.2022 and W.P.No.27957 of 2022, dated 02.09.2022 and pass such other orders....”

Heard Mr. K.R.Srinivas, learned counsel for the petitioner

and learned Government Pleader for Services-I for the respondents.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that suffice it if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner promotion to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector, in

terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, General Administration (Services-C) Department, dated 10.06.1999.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents sought time for filing the counter. However, in similar matters, this Court has already passed orders directing the respondents to consider the cases of the petitioners, in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, dated 10.06.1999.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances and without touching the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner promotion to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector, in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, General Administration (Services-C) Department, dated 10.06.1999 and pass appropriate orders within a period of (06) six weeks from the date of receipt of the order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. No costs

As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall also stand closed.
