Writ Petition No.29065 of 2021

ORDER:

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that this writ petition is filed by the 473 petitioners against the respondents complaining non-payment of compensation amount in respect of their lands which are taken over by the Government for formation of canals for Telugu Ganga Project, having given CFMS numbers by the 8^th respondent as illegal and arbitrary.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Land Acquisition appearing for Respondents 3, 5, 7 and 8 states that all the petitioners are being paid compensation, except petitioner Nos.273 and 303. She further states that petitioner No.273 expired and Petitioner No.303 is missing and the claim made by their Legal Representatives is under process for payment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner did not dispute the same and states that the representations submitted by the Petitioner Nos.273 and 303 for payment of compensation is under process.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, submissions

of the learned counsel and on perusal of the material record, in the interest of justice, this Court felt it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition directing the respondents to consider payment of compensation amount to the petitioner Nos.273 and 303 in respect of their lands as expeditiously as possible within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
