Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Y.Nagireddy representing the respondent Nos.2 to 7.

The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition in short is non-consideration of the petitioner’s representation dated 05.10.2021 made to the respondents with regard to the payment of compensation for the death of petitioner’s husband due to electrocution.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the petitioner went to Auto Nagar, Vijayawada on 19.09.2020 and he died unfortunately due to electrocution. He submits that the incident was reported to the police and a Crime was registered in F.I.R. No.630 of 2020 dated

19.09.2020 for the offence under Section 174 of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 (for short ‘Cr.P.C) and an inquest was conducted.

He submits that as per the applicable Standing Orders issued by the APCPDCL, Rs.5,00,000/- would be paid to the person who lost his kith and kin due to electrocution. He further submits that though the petitioner made several representations including the one dated 05.10.2021, the same has not been considered so far by the respondent authorities. He submits that the petitioner is having two minor children and due to the death of her husband who is the bread winner of the family, they are facing severe financial problems. He submits that under the said circumstances, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court.

Learned Standing Counsel on the other hand submits that the representation of the petitioner dated 05.10.2021 would be considered as per the applicable Standing Order as expeditiously as possible.

Considering the submissions this Court, instead of going into merits of the case, deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition providing that the respondent authorities i.e., respondent Nos.2 to 7 are directed to take necessary action on the petitioner’s representation dated 05.10.2021 and pass appropriate orders thereof, in accordance with law,

within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

As a sequel, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending

shall stand closed.
