Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Registration and Stamps appearing for the respondents.

The grievance of the petitioner is that in pursuance of the Award of the Lok Adalat dated 14.10.2019 in OS.No.303 of 2019, he submitted an application dated 15.02.2020 to the 2^nd respondent, along with all necessary documents, for cancellation of the sale deed bearing document No.741 of 2014. But, the 2^nd respondent had not taken any action. Assailing the inaction of the 2^nd respondent, the writ petition came to be filed.

At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, as per the award of the lok adalat dated 14.10.2019 in L.S.A.No.1966/2019 in OS.No.303 of 2019, the parties, i.e., the petitioner herein, who is the plaintiff in the suit, and the defendant, have executed a document, dated 18.02.2021, for cancellation of sale deed. Suffice if a direction is given to the 2^nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 15.02.2020 and receive and process the cancellation deed dated 18.02.2021 for registration, as per the Award in OS.No.303 of 2019.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that the 2^nd respondent would receive the cancellation deed and process the same, as per the Award passed in OS.No.303 of 2019 and as per the provisions of the Registration Act and the Rules made thereunder.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, submissions of the learned counsel and on perusal of the material on record, this Court, in the interests of justice, felt it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2^nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 15.02.2020 and receive and process the cancellation of sale deed dated 18.02.2021, sought to be submitted by the petitioner, for registration, as per law and as per the Award dated 14.10.2019 passed in OS.No.303 of 2019. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
