ORDER:

The petitioners have approached this Court on the ground that they were not given financial assistance of Rs.10,000/each for the year 2021-2022 under the “YSR Vahanamithra Scheme”.

The learned Government Pleader for Transport after obtaining instructions submits that the 1^st petitioner is the owner of an auto bearing Registration No.AP 39 TB 1324. However, while filing his application for assistance under the scheme, the 1^st petitioner had recorded his vehicle Number is AP 39 TB 1234. Due to this mistake on the part of the 1^st petitioner, assistance could not be given to him.

The learned Government Pleader submits that if the 1^st petitioner approaches the authorities with the correct number of his vehicle, the said application would be considered.

The learned Government Pleader further submits that as far as petitioners 2 to 4 are concerned, assistance could not be given to them as they were not available at the addresses shown in their applications and as the premises were found locked.

Sri K.Arjun Chowdary, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that all the four petitioners had applied

under the scheme last year had been declared as beneficiaries and had received the assistance under the scheme. He points to clause (ii) which states that beneficiaries who have been provided financial assistance in the previous year need not file any application and would have to simply verify whether their names were shown in the list of eligible beneficiaries displayed on the ward secretariat on 01.06.2021. He submits that since the petitioners were all enumerated in the list of beneficiaries published on 01.06.2021, no further application had been made by the petitioners.

In reply, the learned Government Pleader for Transport submits that the petitioners should have approached the appropriate authority by 16.06.2021 with their complaint and as they had not approached the authority by that date, further assistance was not given to the petitioners.

Having heard both sides, this writ petition is disposed of leaving it open to the petitioners to approach the 5^th respondent within one week with the list published on 01.06.2021 showing their names as eligible beneficiaries. Upon furnishing of such list, the 5^th respondent shall take necessary steps to disburse the financial assistance payable to the petitioners under the said scheme within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the list of beneficiaries. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall
