ORDER :
This criminal petition is filed by the petitioner/ A-1, seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.188 of 2019 of Station House Officer, Kotabommali Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 270, 273, 328 I.P.C and Section 22(2) of Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products Act, 2003.
When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that batch of Criminal Petitions filed to quash the proceedings registered for the offences under Indian Penal Code and Food Safety and Standards Act were allowed by this Court vide order dated 27.08.2018, in Crl.P.No.3731 of 2018 and batch.
The case on hand has also been filed questioning the proceedings in Crime No.188 of 2019 of Station House Officer, Kotabommali Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 270, 273, 328 I.P.C and Section 22(2) of Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products Act, 2003.
Following the order passed in the aforementioned batch of criminal petitions, and for the reasons recorded therein, this Criminal Petition is allowed quashing the proceedings in Crime No.188 of 2019 of Station House Officer, Kotabommali Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 270, 273, 328 I.P.C and Section 22(2) of Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products Act, 2003.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall also stand closed in consequence.
