Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri A.K. Tripathi, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioners are staying together in an interfaith live-in relationship. The petitioner no. 1 is mother of a boy. She was staying in a live-in relationship with one Prem Verma, but now she has changed her status and started living with the petitioner no. 2. Both the petitioners are major and they have apprehension of life threat from the respondent no. 4 who happens to be live-in partner of petitioner no. 1.

Per contra, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel stated that he has to ascertain the marital status of petitioner no. 1. She is resident of District Bhagalpur (Bihar). He will also ascertain as to whether there is any life threat to the petitioners or not.

Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel prays for and is granted two weeks time to obtain instructions in the matter.

Put up this case on 25.03.2026 as fresh.
