Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, Sri Manu Dixit, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents No.2 & 3 and learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State-respondent No.4.

In the present case, the bank account of the petitioner has been entirely frozen on account of a complaint filed on the Cyber Crime Portal with regard to creating a lien for a sum of Rs.1000/-.

In light of the same, we are unable to countenance the fact that the entire account of the petitioner has been frozen instead of creating a lien only for Rs.1000/-.

The HDFC Bank is accordingly directed to immediately defreeze the account of the petitioner within a period of three days and allow him to operate the same, while maintaining a lien on Rs.1000/- only.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of .
