1. Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties.

"(I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding and directing the opposite parties specially opposite party No. 2 i.e. Regional Passport Officer, Government of India. Lucknow to renew the passport of petitioner which has already been issued by Passport Authority in favour of petitioner on 15.04.2014, in the interest of justice.

(II) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding and directing to the opposite party No. 2 to take final decision on the online application bearing file No. LK3067649169214, dated 05.02.2026 of the petitioner within time, in the interest of justice. "

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his application for change of date of birth and for renewal of the passport is pending before the authority concerned.

In light of the same, petitioner is directed to appear before the Regional Passport Office on 29.4.2026 at 11:00 a.m. along with all the relevant documents including original to indicate the actual date of birth. Once the petitioner provides all the documents, the Regional Passport Office is directed to pass a reasoned order within a period of one week from the date of hearing that has been granted to the
