1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent Nos.1 to 4, Shri Tushar Mittal, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.5 and Shri Paavan Awasthi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.6.

2. The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, inter alia , praying for the following main relief:-

"a). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the State Authorities especially opposite party no.1 to 3 to ensure the payment of cane price of the petitioner, who have supplied the cane to Bajaj Hindustan Sugar Mill for the Session 2025-2026."

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the marriage of the petitioner's granddaughter is scheduled on 25.04.2026. It is further submitted that till date, respondent No.6 has not made payment for the sugarcane supplied by the petitioner.

4. Per contra, Shri Paavan Awasthi, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.6 submits that 34% of the payment against the supplies made by the petitioner has already been disbursed.

5. Having considered the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties and upon perusal of the record, this Court finds that the present

case falls within the category of "exceptional circumstances", inasmuch as the marriage of the petitioner's granddaughter is scheduled on 25.04.2026. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, respondent No.6 is directed to make the entire outstanding payment for the sugarcane supplied by the petitioner within a period of ten days from today.

6. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
