Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel appearing on behalf of the opposite parties.

Present petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India has been filed seeking a direction to authority concerned to consider petitioner’s application for compassionate appointment under the U.P. Recruitment of Dependents of Government Servants (Dying in Harness) Rules, 1974.

It is submitted that petitioner’s mother late Ramdevi passed away in harness on 05.05.2021 whereafter petitioner submitted an application on 07.06.2021, which is still pending consideration. It is submitted that vide letter dated 16.06.2021, certain documents were called for from petitioner which have been supplied by him vide letter dated 17.11.2025 but final orders are not being passed.

Considering aforesaid submissions, opposite party no.3. i.e. Principal, Government Industrial Training Institute, Hardoi or any other competent authority is directed to decide petitioner’s application for compassionate appointment expeditiously within a period of eight weeks from receipt of a copy of the application earlier preferred by petitioner along with a certified copy of this order. In case any other documentation is required from petitioner, he shall be intimated with regard to same which shall thereafter be
