This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner purportedly, in public interest, seeking a direction to the respondents to ensure the election of MLA Constituency, Milkipur-273, Ayodhya/Faizabad along with 9 other MLA Constituencies of Uttar Pradesh notified on 15.10.2014.

Counsel for the respondent-Election Commission points out that byelections to the Milkipur-273 Constituency have taken place in the month of February, 2025 and therefore the petition has been rendered infructuous.
