Heard Sri Dharmendra Kumar, Advocate, holding brief of Sri Suresh Kumar Yadav, learned counsel for the applicant and learned AGA for the State.

The applicant has approached this Court mainly for the following prayer:

"To direct the Learned Civil Judge (S.D.) / F.T.C, District - Ayodhya to expedite/decide the complaint vide Complaint Case No. 1846 of 2025 (Yateendra Yadav Vs. Rajendra Kumar) under section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, relating to Police Station - Kotwali Nagar, District - Ayodhya, pending before him since 27.10.2023 (Annexure No. 1), expeditiously or in a given time frame fixed by this Hon'ble High Court, in the interest of law and justice."

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that under Section 143(3) of the N.I. Act, it is provided that every trial under this Section shall be conducted as expeditiously as possible and endeavour shall be made to conclude the trial within six months from the date of filing of the complaint. He has submitted that since long time, the case is pending without substantial progress.

Learned A.G.A. has no objection on the prayer made by the learned counsel for the applicant and submits that merely keeping pending the same by the trial court does not suffice any purpose of the litigation.

In view of the aforesaid facts, the court concerned is directed to adhere to the provisions of Section 143(3) of the N.I. Act and shall act accordingly and decide the aforesaid case expeditiously in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before the court concerned.
