Heard learned counsel for the applicant as well as Ms. Tanvi Jain, learned AGA and perused the record.

The present application has been filed seeking quashing of the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.684 of 2026, State Vs. Anant Singh Rai, arising out of Case Crime No.22 of 2025, under Sections 308(2), 221, 356(2) and 319(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 66(D) of Information Technology Act, Police Station Dalmau, District Raebareli and the summoning order dated 02.01.2026 passed by the Second Additional Civil Judge (CD)/ACJM, Raebareli.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the applicant submits that he does not want to press this application on merits. However, he submits that applicant will surrender before the trial court and apply for bail. He prays that the applicant may be granted the benefit of the case of Satender Kumar Antil v. Central Bureau of Investigation and another, (2021) 10 SCC 773.

It is, therefore, directed that in case the applicant surrenders before the Court below within three weeks from today and prefer bail application, the trial court will decide the said bail application, as expeditiously as possible, taking into account the law laid down by the Supreme Court in the case of Satender Kumar Antil (supra).
