Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the corpus Mohini Verma is the wife of petitioner no.2 Rajkumar but she is in the illegal custody of respondent no.4 Virendra Kumar Verma. He further submits that a complaint has been made in this regard to the S.S.P., Moradabad but no action has been taken by the police.

Learned A.G.A. submits that the police investigation reveals that the corpus is a major woman but in her statement given to the police she has denied the factum of marriage and has also averred that she is voluntarily residing with her parents. Learned A.G.A. further submitted that in the facts and circumstances of the case, the illegal detention of the corpus is not made out.

Learned A.G.A. is directed to produce the corpus on 08.05.2026, before this Court.
