Heard learned counsel for the appellant.

According to the office report, there is a delay of 79 days in filing the instant appeal.

The instant appeal has been filed under Section 74 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, challenging the impugned judgment and award dated 10.09.2025 passed by the Presiding Officer, Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority, Meerut, whereby compensation at the rate of Rs. 2,104/- per sq. meter has been awarded to the land-owners along with other statutory benefits admissible under the said Act.

It is apparent that the valuation of the appeal is only Rs. 32,480/-, which is below Rs. 2 lakh, and in terms of the Government Order dated 13.10.2016, no such appeal could have been preferred by the appellant.

When learned counsel for the appellant was confronted with the aforesaid Government Order, he prayed for some time to seek instructions from his client.

In view of the above, the matter is adjourned and shall be listed on 06.02.2026 as fresh.
