Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Nitesh Patel holding brief of Sri Udit Chandra, learned counsel for Power Corporation, learned AGA for the State and perused the record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that offence, in question, is a compoundable offence and the petitioner is ready to pay the compounding fee as determined by the Power Corporation.

In view of the above, in case the petitioner pays the entire compounding fee to the Power Corporation within a period of one month from today, the petitioner shall not be arrested in pursuance of the impugned F.I.R. dated 25.10.2024, arising out of Case Crime No. 798 of 2024, under Section 138(1)(b) of Indian Electricity Act, Police Station Anti Power Theft, District Chandauli.
