Heard learned counsel for the appellant, learned AGA for the State respondent and perused the record.

The instant criminal appeal has been preferred against the judgment and order dated 25.03.2026 passed by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Court No. 9, Barabanki in S.T. No. 537 of 2024 arising out of Case Crime No. 499 of 2023, whereby the appellant has been convicted under Sections 498-A and 304-B IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, P.S. Jaidpur, District Barabanki. The appellant has been sentenced to ten years’ rigorous imprisonment for the major offence under Section 304-B IPC, and all the sentences have been directed to run concurrently.
