Heard Shri Shivendra Pratap Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned

Standing Counsel for the State respondents.

The instant petition is of the year 2001. The record indicates that it was earlier dismissed for want of prosecution. However, it was restored on 22.11.2024 on payment of costs of Rs.5000/-. When this matter was taken up yesterday, the counsel for the petitioners had prayed for an adjournment which was allowed by the Court on payment of further costs of Rs.5000/-.

However, when the matter was taken up today, the counsel for the petitioners informed that neither the cost has been deposited as the petitioners could not be contacted. An opportunity was extended to the counsel for the petitioners to argue the case on merits, to which he expressed his inability as he was not in touch with his client.

Considering the aforesaid and the fact that the compliance of the order dated 02.04.2025 has not been made nor the counsel for the petitioners is willing to argue the matter. In view thereof, the petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. Consigned to record.
