Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel appearing on behalf of the opposite parties.

Petition had earlier been filed seeking following main relief:-

"i) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS thereby commanding/directing the opposite to pay an amount of Rs. 29,28,333/ to the petitioner with respect to remaining salary as approved by the competent authority forthwith.

ii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS thereby commanding/directing the opposite parties particularly opposite party No. 2 i.e. Director, Treasury to release the amount Rs. 29,28,333/- as demanded by the Senior Treasury Officer with respect to the amount of the petitioner forthwith.

iii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS thereby commanding/directing the opposite parties, to pay all consequential service benefits to the petitioner including the amount of salary along-with admissible interest forthwith. "

Application has been filed seeking withdrawal of writ petition. On the basis of instructions, Mr. Anurag Tripathi, learned counsel for petitioner submits that he does not wish to press this petition.

In view of such submission and for reasons indicated in the affidavit filed in support of the application, the application is allowed and the petition is dismissed as not pressed.
