Heard Shri Shobhnath Pandey, learned counsel for contempt petitionerapplicant and perused the material available on record.

The present contempt application has been filed with the following prayer:-

"to punish the respondent under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for wilful disobedience of the Hon'ble Court's order dated 27.05.2025 passed in Writ-A No. 6012 of 2025 (Committee of Management Shrimat Paramhans Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya through its Manager Vs. State of U.P. through its Principal Secretary Higher Education Lucknow and three others) and direct the respondent to comply with the aforesaid order in letter and spirit."

At the very outset, learned counsel for contempt petitioner-applicant has brought to the notice of the Court that after filing of the instant contempt petition, the Vice Chancellor, Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi vide order dated 20.09.2025 has passed a detailed order disposing of the representation moved by the petitioner. The said order is taken on record.

In the wake of the aforesaid development, learned counsel for contempt petitioner-applicant does not want to press the instant contempt petition and prayed that the same may be dismissed as not pressed.

Accordingly, the present contempt petition is dismissed as not pressed.

Needless to say that it is always open for the contempt petitionerapplicant to seek appropriate remedy, if he so desires to challenge the aforesaid order dated 20.09.2025 in accordance with law.
