Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned State Counsel appearing on behalf of opposite parties no.1 to 7.

In view of order being proposed to be passed, notices to opposite parties no.8 to 10 stand dispensed with.

Petition has been filed seeking a direction to concerned authority for conduct of re-examination of Civics subject paper for the Intermediate Board Examination 2024 before pronouncement of results of the same.

It has been submitted that petitioners were unable to participate in the aforesaid examination on account of distance between their residences and Centre allocated to them. It is submitted that the first paper ended in the evening on 22.02.2024 whereas the second paper was due to start from 08.00 A.M. on 23.02.2024. It is submitted that it was only on account of distance that petitioners who are female students were unable to participate in the aforesaid examination by the time prescribed.

Mr. P.K. Singh, learned State counsel however submits that there is no provision for such re-examination and even otherwise petitioners would be eligible to participate in the back paper examination.

It has been submitted that with regard to aforesaid grievance, petitioners have already submitted their representation which may be directed to be decided.

Considering innocuous prayer being made by learned counsel for petitioners and without entering into the merits of the case petitioners are granted liberty to file fresh individual representations before opposite party No.3 i.e. Secretary, Uttar Pradesh State Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Prayagraj, U.P. In case such representation is filed, the same shall be considered and decided within a period of ten days from the date a certified copy of this order is produced

before the said authority.

With the aforesaid observation, petition stands disposed of .
