Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the respondents.
This matter pertains to the grant of arms licence which the petitioner applied on 07.07.2022 in District Lucknow and is pending since then before the District Magistrate, Lucknow.
Since the matter is too trivial to keep pending before this Court, the same may be decided at this stage, to which learned Standing counsel has no objection.
In view of above, the writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 i.e. District Magistrate, Lucknow to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for grant of arms licence, if he is otherwise eligible, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before him, if there is no legal impediment.
With these observations the petition stands finally disposed of.
