Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed notice upon the private respondents is hereby dispensed with.
The limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners is to decide the stay application filed before the respondent No. 1, Board of Revenue, U.P. Allahabad in Revision No. REV/3633/2023, Computer Case No. AL20231429003633 (Vidya Devi and others versus Gram Panchyat Sahedi and others), under Section 210 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006, within the time frame by this Court.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that stay application filed along with the revision is pending consideration since 2023 and the purpose of filing the present petition would stand served if appropriate directions are issued to the respondent No. 1 to consider and pass appropriate orders on the pending stay application within a time frame fixed by this Court.
Learned counsels appearing for the respondents have no objection to the aforesaid proposition.
Considering the totality of the circumstances and submissions advanced by learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would stand sub served if directions are issued for expeditious disposal of stay application.
Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of by requiring the respondent No. 1, Board of Revenue, U.P. Allahabad seized with the stay application, filed in Revision No. REV/3633/2023, Computer Case No. AL20231429003633 (Vidya Devi and others versus Gram Panchyat Sahedi and others), under Section 210 of
the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006, to consider and pass appropriate orders on the same, expeditiously, preferably, on the next date fixed or within a period of two weeks from the next date fixe d upon service of certified copy of the order of this Court and thereafter proceed to decided the revision itself in accordance with law.
For the period of two weeks or till disposal of the stay application, whichever is earlier, status quo as on date shall be maintained by the parties.
