Heard Sri V.K. Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Diwakar Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the State.
By means of this petition the petitioner has prayed following relief :
"1. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties, specially the opposite party no.3, to pay the amount of Contributory Provident Fund to the petitioner no.1 amounting to Rs. 18,46,759/-
2- Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties, specially the opposite party no.3, to pay the amount of Contributory Provident Fund to the petitioner no.2 amounting to Rs. 29,55,595/-, along with interest admissible on the amount of Contributory Provident Fund, w.e.f. October-2023 till the date of retirement i.e. 30-62024.
3. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to pay interest to the petitioners upon the amount of Contributory Provident Fund, for the period of delay in payment, at the rate of 10% p.a. with effect from the date of retirement till the date of actual payment to the petitioners, respectively."
Learned Standing Counsel prays for and is granted ten days time to seek complete written instructions in the matter.
