Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the present writ petition has been preferred seeking direction to the respondent no. 2 i.e. the District Magistrate, District Unnao to make ex-gratia payment in pursuance of the G.O. dated 01.06.2021 for untimely demise of the husband of the petitioner during the COVID pandemic on election duty for which the petitioner has already made representations dated 13.04.2022 & 09.05.2022 to the respondent no. 2 but till date no decision has been taken.
It is further submitted that respondent no. 2 may be directed to take a decision on the representations made by the petitioner for ex-gratia payment within a stipulated time frame as this Hon'ble Court may fix.
Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to the aforesaid prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.
On the request of learned counsel for the petitioner and without entering into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of finally with a direction to the respondent no. 2/District Magistrate, District Unnao to take a decision on the representations of the petitioner dated 13.04.2022 & 09.05.2022 in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of production/receipt of certified copy of this order.
