This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to repair two lane road from Naubasta Ganga Bridge Teer Ka Purwa (Khrauli) to Unchahar, Raebareli.

Submissions have been made that despite making repeated representations seeking repair of the road in question, the same is not being repaired and, therefore, instructions may be issued to the respondents to repair the same.

Instructions have been produced by learned Standing Counsel, inter alia , indicating that the road in question was repaired and the work was completed on 31.10.2023. However, during defective liability period, certain small patches on the road appeared based on which notice has been sent to the Contractor on 28.09.2024, based on which patch work has been started. Out of 7 kilometers stretch, 3 kilometers stretch has already been repaired and the rest of stretch would be repaired at an early date. Alongwith the instructions, pictures of patches have been produced alongwith other material.

In view of the above fact situation, wherein the respondents have already taken steps qua the grievance as raised by the

petitioner in the present public interest litigation, the petition stands disposed of. It is expected of the respondents to ensure that the entire work is completed at an early date.
