Heard learned counsel for the appellant, learned AGA for the State and perused the record.
Learned counsel for the appellant has referred to the order dated 21.09.2017 wherein direction was given by the Coordinate Bench of this Court to decide the matter, if possible, within a period of eight months from the date of production of certified copy of this order strictly in accordance with Section 309 Cr.P.C. and view of principle as has been laid down in the recent judgement of Hon'ble Apex Court in the cases of Vinod Kumar vs. State of Punjab reported in 2015 (3) SCC 220 and Hussain and Another vs. Union of India reported in 2012 (5) SCC 702.
It has been submitted by learned counsel for the appellant that despite the aforesaid order the trial is still pending.
Let a report be called from the court concerned through Registrar (Compliance) within a period of two weeks with the reasons for delay in not deciding the matter.
