Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A. for the State.

By means of the present application under Section 482 Cr.P.C., the applicant has sought for a suitable direction to the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Court No.6, Varanasi to decide the proceedings of Criminal Case No.201823 of 2022, arising out of Case Crime No.51 of 2021, under Sections 498A, 323, 504, 506 IPC and Section 3/4 D.P. Act, Police Station- Lohta, District- Varanasi, within time stipulated by this Court, which is pending before the aforesaid court.

It was submitted by learned counsel for the applicant that applicant is the informant of the aforesaid case, which is pending since the year 2022 but even the charges have not been framed so far. Learned counsel further submits that a direction may be issued to the concerned court to decide the aforesaid case within specific time frame.

In view of aforesaid, learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Court No.6, Varanasi is directed to consider and decide the above-stated case expeditiously, preferably within a period of 18 months from the date of production of copy of this order before the court concerned, provided there is no legal impediment.

The instant application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is disposed of accordingly. Order Date :- 8.7.2024 SP/-
