Present petition has been preferred to direct the respondent no. 1-the Chairman, Board of Revenue, Lucknow to decide the Revision No. 1706 of 2023, Computerized Case No. R20231418001706 (Firoz Khan Vs. Chandabegam) filed under Section 219 of the U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901 within the time fixed by this Court.

On being specifically asked from learned counsel for the petitioner that whether he has preferred any application for taking up the case out of turn by showing urgency in the matter before the Court concerned, it is submitted that no such application has been preferred before the Court concerned and petitioner has approached this Court straightway for deciding the case expeditiously.

On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel has submitted that there is no period provided in the statute for deciding the application preferred under Section 219 of the Act, 1901.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that present petition may be disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to move an appropriate application before the Court concerned.

As prayed, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to move an appropriate application before the Court concerned.

On the request of learned counsel for the petitioner and without entering into the merit of the case, it is expected that respondent no. 1 shall make endevour to decide the matter expeditiously, if such application is preferred.
