Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Advocate holding brief of Ms. Neera Yadav, learned counsel for the respondents.

This writ petition has been filed with the following main prayers:-

"I. Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the opposite party no. 3 to make committee for inspection of the Connection, Meter and load on Electricity connection of the petitioner and resolved the grievances of the petitioner, the defective meter readings and Excess Bills given to the petitioner, as accordance with law and continue supply of electricity to the petitioner, in the interest of justice.

II. Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the opposite party no. 3 to finally resolved the grievance of the petitioner and decide the fresh representation or the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.07.2024, which contained as annexure no.10 to this writ petition., as accordance with law, till then supply the electricity to the petitioner, in the interest of justice."

It is the case of the petitioner that he has applied for a commercial electricity connection on 11.03.2015. The petitioner kept on paying his bills regularly. After the date of installation of new electricity meter by the respondents, wrong

reading of consumption of electricity is being shown because of malfunctioning of new electricity meter. The petitioner has been saddled with an electricity bill of Rs.1,55,257/- including arrears. The petitioner has paid Rs.50,000/- on 29.05.2024 on cash counter, but the respondents continued to give wrong electricity bill and pressurize the petitioner into depositing the money. The petitioner has also received a notice for disconnection of his electricity connection on 13.06.2024. The petitioner has given a complaint to the respondents no.3 and 4. His compliant has remained pending. He thereafter, has also given a representation on 15.07.2024 to the Executive Engineer.

Learned counsel for the respondents says that the writ petition may be disposed of by a direction to the respondent no. 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner.

This writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Division, Sharawasti to look into the grievance of the petitioner and to pass an appropriate order thereon, within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him.
