Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Diwakar Singh, learned Standing Counsel for respondents no. 1 to 5.

With the consent of learned counsel appearing for the contesting parties, the writ petition is being finally decided.

The instant writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to relieve the petitioner in pursuance to transfer order dated 04.03.2024, a copy of which is annexure 1 to the writ petition, so far as it relates to the petitioner.

The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has been transferred from Headquarters of Director General of Police, Lucknow to Commissionerate, Lucknow as per order dated 04.03.2024 in which name of petitioner finds place at serial no. 2. However, till date the petitioner has not been relieved and hence the writ petition.

Shri Diwakar Singh, learned Standing Counsel for respondents no. 1 to 5 on the basis of instructions sent by the respondent no. 2 i.e. Director General of Police, Lucknow dated 12.06.2024 states that the petitioner shall be relieved today i.e. on 13.06.2024 itself.

The aforesaid statement is recorded.

The writ petition is disposed of.
