Present petition has been filed seeking expeditious disposal of Appeal No. 215 of 2024 (Gaya Prasad vs. Smt. Ureha) filed under Section 11(1) of U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953 (in short "Act of 1953") pending before respondent No.1.

Considering the facts as indicated in the petition as also the period of pendency of the appeal in issue which was instituted under Section 11(1) of the Act of 1953 in the year 2013, present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.1Settlement Officer of Consolidation (Judicial), Barabanki, to conclude the proceedings of Appeal No. 215 of 2024 (Gaya Prasad vs. Smt. Ureha), most expeditiously, after affording full opportunity of hearing to the parties to the litigation but without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either party preferably within a period of six months from the next date fixed in the case, if possible and if there is no other legal impediment in this regard.

It is made clear that this Court has not examined the case of either party on merits and the Authority concerned shall be free to decide the matter strictly in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid, the petition is disposed of.
