The applicant seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the opposite parties for intentionally, willfully and deliberately flouting the order dated 23.12.2022 passed by this court in P.I.L. No. 733 of 2022, Raghuveer Singh v. State of U.P. & ors.

There is no direction to be complied with in the judgment and order dated 23.12.2022. For convenience, the operative portion of the judgment is quoted hereinbelow:

"At the very outset, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents has raised a preliminary objection about credentials and locus of the petitioner.

On a specific query to the learned counsel for the petitioner as to how the petitioner is interested in the subject matter of the present writ petition, no satisfactory response came from the side of Counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Counsel for the Nagar Panchayat has submitted that process for eviction from illegal occupation have been initiated, as, notices have already been issued to the illegal encroachers for vacation of the encroached property and hence, the purpose of filing the present Public Interest Litigation stands served.

In view of aforesaid circumstances, the present writ petition is disposed of. "

From perusal of the same, there is no direction passed by this court, hence there is no question of non-compliance or wilful disobedience of the order. No contempt is made out. The contempt application is dismissed as such.
