1. Heard Shri Ram Janam Shahi, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
2. The instant petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent no. 3 to decide the restoration application dated 08.03.2016 bearing No. RST/01897/2021 "Computerised Case No. T-202115060101897" (Lautan v. Nagar Palika and others), under Section 229(B) of the UPZA & LR Act.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the restoration application is pending since 2016.
4. In view of the above, the respondent no. 3 is directed to decide the aforesaid case by a reasoned and speaking order on merit in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed .
