Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the Staterespondents.
By means of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.3 to decide the representation of the petitioner to reconsider him for the typing test for the post of Sub Inspector (Confidential) and A.S.I. (Ministerial).
Learned Standing Counsel on the basis of written instructions, a copy of which has been provided to the Court for perusal and is taken on record states that in the Computer Typing Examination the accuracy of 85% in English was required whereas the petitioner had only 81.4% accuracy whereas his Hindi Typing had the accuracy of 96%. It is in the aforesaid circumstances, that though the petitioner was successful in the Hindi Typing but was not successful in English Typing and for the said reason, the petitioner did not qualify.
Having taken the note of the aforesaid prayer made by the petitioner that he may be reconsidered, does not appear to be justified at this stage. No purpose will be served in making any direction to consider his representation once the aforesaid fact has been brought to the notice of the Court.
In view of the aforesaid, the petition is dismissed.
